Summer is finally coming to an end! It's the last day of August and I thought - I am getting back into blogging and doing my *best* working on being a content creator, why not start a new series and share my monthly favorites? Seeing as this is my first monthly favorites, there's no long read ahead. But if you prefer, I have also made a YouTube video to supplement this post!

Glass & Bamboo Canisters (Amazon)

These canisters are so adorable, I know a lot of people have mixed feelings about people moving items from one container into another container - but I can't be bothered with those feelings. I am so obsessed with how neat the top of my fridge looks for my most used items. These come in a pack of 5 from Amazon for less than $25! I love how sleek and modern the bamboo airtight lids are. I have been filling these canisters with more or less "everyday items" like oatmeal, sugar, rice, and of course, coffee grounds.

F O O D & D R I N K

If you know me, you know I love me a glass of wine every now and then, and this box from Bright Cellars made getting 5 new bottles to try so thought-free. Subscription services are all the rage now, and after taking a 5 question quiz that paired me to these wines, I think I am hooked. I got I am obsessed with the box I received all kinds of wine in addition to cards that describe each wine (to look fancy and smart in front of friends) and a complimentary bottle opener. I was able to receive some money off (about 50%!) since it was my first box, and you can too with my referral code. You can get 60% off here of your first box, on me. So if you are a wine lover like me and want to switch up your usual bottles, I highly recommend you check it out.

Not much to say here, I mean... it's overnight oats! Despite having more time to make breakfast while working from home, I still cherish every moment away from the kitchen before 9 am. Overnight oats make breakfast so thought-free and simple. This method works with any recipe you want to try this with. I used Trader Joe's Turmeric Coconut & Ginger Beverage, chia seeds, chai spices (cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, allspice, cloves, and nutmeg), a bit of honey, and almond milk. After microwaving the oats again in the morning for some extra life, I topped it with chopped pistachios, dates, and a dollop of Greek yogurt. Sounds like it would taste weird, but it's really hearty and delicious.

Now this is for my coffee lovers looking for an efficient way to add a coffee kick to any beverage. Javy's Microdose is a coffee concentrate made with 100% Arabica, it's as powerful as it sounds. I like to mix it up but while we still have a bit of warm weather I have been using it to make this simple caramel oat iced coffee. You can have it however you like if you want to include it in your homemade frappes, hot lattes, or even baked goods. A little really goes a long way and this 6oz bottle is good for 30 beverages -- and I just think that is so convenient. I also have a code for this one to save 15% on any Javy products; just use this link!

This next one is for those obsessed with skincare (I'm not there yet, but hopefully soon). This was a gift from a friend who is obsessed with skincare and thought this would be great for my dry, flaky combination skin. I still don't understand how skin can be both dry and oily, but alas. This cream is named perfectly, it's very thick and rich but surprisingly not heavy. I have been using this at night after cleansing and toning my skin and as you can see in the picture it's a perfect balance of being moisturized and smooth without feeling like my skin is drowning in product or with my pores clogged. If you've had a hard time finding moisturizers that balance you out, perhaps try this one! I am glad I have finally found a staple for me.

I am approaching 26 and I still don't have a signature scent! It's quite sad, actually. I recently got to work with Dossier and the collaboration couldn't have been timed any better. I got to try out a few of their scents and my most recent favorite has been the Floral Lavender. Like the above referenced wine subscription, Dossier offers a quiz that pairs you with scents that suit you best. I love it because I can smell like a million bucks for a fraction of the price. This particular scent is inspired by YSL's Libre which retails for $106 whereas the Floral Lavender is $29. It's a good balance of sweet and sexy and smells like the epitome of what I imagine an August day should smell like.

That's all for this month's favorites, I am so glad I can share them with you all! Let me know what some of your monthly favorites have been and what you're looking forward to in September! As usual, this blog post is supplemented by my YouTube video which includes a few more favorites not mentioned here.
