PODCASTS WORTH A LISTEN
If I was ever so unlucky to lose my speaking privileges, I would probably combust from all my thoughts stuck in my head. The nature of my work isn't really "supportive" of a talkative environment so I am stuck with other alternatives. I have recently found pleasure in listening to podcasts in my spare time throughout the day - I can indulge in conversation without the effort of actually talking to anyone, how ideal.
I have created a short list of podcasts I have been listening to over the weeks, and I hope you give them a listen throughout your day, too!

1. Note to Self - NPR
No podcast list can exist without one from NPR, the HBIC of all things Radio. This one's for the emerging intellectual. My favorite show at the moment is Black Mirror and they have a great short podcast featuring the show's writers
Average Length: 20 minutes
2. Don't Keep Your Day Job - Cathy Heller
If you're on the fence about starting a blog, business, or simply expanding your hobbies this podcasts interviews young people who have taken the leap of faith in chasing their dreams rather than a paycheck. This is still really helpful to me even though I have had my blog for 2 years, it's great motivation to keep me here and remind me why I started to begin with.
Average length: ~55 min
3. The Read - Kid Fury & Crissle
If you follow the Shaderoom on Instagram, this is basically the audible version. I feel like I am in my college dorm gossipping about fads and pop culture when I listen to The Read. Great if you're in need of a laugh and if you have TIME!
Average Length: 1+ hours
4. Stuff Mom Never Told You - Emilie Aries and Bridget Todd
Run by two beautiful women, Stuff Mom Never Told You tackles issues faced by women with research, history, and humor. Great for the ambitious and driven woman looking to define her place in the world.
Average Length: < 1 hour
5. The School of Greatness - Lewis Howes
If you're in need of motivation from an entrepreneurial lens, this is the one for you. I listen to this while I am putting my makeup on or even getting dressed for the day. It's a great way to start your day, and hear from the brilliant minds that contribute to our day to day.
The one I have attached is only 6 minutes long!
Average Length: 35 minutes
Do you listen to any podcasts or have suggestions for me? Please, send them my way!
